Fulshear Historical Association recognizes the acquisition of one league of land, provided from Mexico to Churchill Fulshear Sr. by Empresario Stephen Fuller Austin, on July 16 1824. This date marks the beginning of what would become Fulshear, Texas, founded by the landholder's son, Churchill Fulshear Jr. over sixty years later. Honoring this history, and all histories that have contributed to Fulshear today, the FHA will participate in community projects and organization initiatives throughout the 2024 Bicentennial year, supporting the mission to preserve and share local history.
